This brown patina bronze sculpture is of young Joan of Arc posed holding the proud banner of his legion. Perhaps, there has been triumph over their adversaries or he waves the flag signifying and reminding the soldiers of their pride and honor. He is holding it as high as possible as he seen climbing the mount of a hilltop so that all may see the banner flying high in the wind. This lost-wax casting method allows for great detail to be seen in his full armor consisting of a helmet, shoulder pads, body armor and sandals. His face looks out boldly, his left arm raises the flag while his right arm bears his sword. Hanging off his left hip is his dagger. This great, ancient battle scenery stands a top a black marble base making it a clic relic for historian lovers and is signed Houdon.
